We strive to be among the "Best of the Best".
None of our animals are ever fed soy! Just Grass!!!

We strive to produce registered Belted Galloway breeding stock that are among the "best of the best". All of the offspring are certified organic by Oregon Tilth. We have a small, but high quality herd of cows that we pasture, breed to an absolutely outstanding bull, resulting in excellent calves and genetics. We believe that proper selection and excellent management results in obvious quality. This picture above gives a good look at what our herd has to offer.

Although showing our animals competitively isn't our goal, we breed animals that could perform in the show ring as well as in the pasture. Since we strive to feed a predominantly grass diet, our cattle are not "beefed up" on a heavy diet of grain, yet due to their quality and management, they look like they are. We only offer them very small amounts of grain to nurture their trust in people, and to reward them for coming when we call. They are never fed routine antibiotics or given growth hormones to enhance their physiques or soy. Cattle that do not meet our high standards for genetics, disposition, and conformation are culled from the herd and not sold as breeding stock.

MEADOWOOD ALEXANDER is out of the 2012 National Champion Bull, MEADOWOOD XMAN, a PLATINUM LIFETIME SIRE, and MEADOWOOD UMBRA.

Alexander was crowned BULL CALF CHAMPION at 2014 Big E and World Beef Expo .

Alexander is beautiful. He is pictured in this lower left photo at 18 months of age. He is correct, calm, and beautifully put together in every way. His body is long, deep, and full. His back is straight, level and broad. His belt is ideal...not too wide, not too narrow.
And the true test is his calves....they are perfect.
