POLLINATORS IN PERIL
There has been a national effort to restore critical habitat for pollinators which are in peril in today's environment. Without adequate pollinators, life as we know it would cease to exist. With fields full of Red Clover and gardens blooming throughout the season, Messmer-Izing Farms has created a pollinator oasis, and so it seemed like the perfect place for raising bees. The result is a bountiful supply of Messmer-Izing Honey created by our bees from local nectars. SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF HONEY Honey is amazing. It is the only food in the world that doesn't spoil, and it has been used since ancient times for its health benefits. Honey is anti-bacterial and has anti-fungal properties too, which aid in its ability to help heal cuts and burns. Honey and even has anti-oxidants and cancer fighting properties. Honey also energizes our bodies and boosts our immunity, and due to its anti-inflammatory properties, many people believe it can also help fight seasonal allergies. People with plant allergies seek out local honey to provide themselves with some resistance to the local pollen allergens. Note: Honey should never be given to children under 1yr. of age. |
